THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU
Thank you, Calgary! Your support over the past decade has turned this little idea into an incredibly special community and a summer staple for golf gals in the city. We wouldn’t be here today launching into our 11th season without your encouraging posts, supportive shares, endless referrals, and for returning each summer to level-up your golf game. The crew at Golf Fanatics and Valley Ridge Golf Club have a killer season in store and we can’t wait to see both new and familiar faces out at lessons, events, and out in the wild playing golf courses all summer long.
Let’s make it a good one!

Charla has played sports her whole life, but it wasn’t until she quit her elementary teacher job in Vancouver and moved to Calgary 8 years ago that she picked up golf. After getting a job in the Oil and Gas industry, she was gifted a set of garage sale clubs (you can’t be in sales and not golf!) and has never looked back! She loves golf for the networking, the time spent outside with friends and clients, the challenge golf offers, and never missing a hot dog on the turn!
Jaida picked up a golf club for the first time in 2012 and, like many recreational golfers, developed a love-hate relationship with the sport. It wasn’t until her first lessons with Golf & Tacos that she quickly became addicted to the game—and to the G&T community.
Born and raised in Calgary, she now works for the city she grew up in, helping to build relationships and connection through Communications.
You’ll often find her on the golf course with her G&T gal pals, dressed up in themed outfits, having a time. Jaida is happiest with a spicy margarita in one hand and a fish taco in the other (hold the cilantro).
