FAQ

YOUR COMMON QUESTIONS ANSWERED

I'M NEW TO GOLF & TACOS, WHERE DO I START?

Unless you’re making some pars and birdies, we recommend you start with a MILD or MEDIUM 4-Week Course, and work your way up to HOT and SPICY. Read through our Golf Programs page for more recommendations.

DO I NEED CLUBS?

The 4-Week Courses and Workshops will have a handful of clubs available that are sanitized after each use. Rentals for on-course programs (including the socials) are available to rent at the golf course pro shop at your own expense.  Please add “♣️-RH/LH” to your profile name in the Glofox Booking system so we can see that on the class roster. (I.e. ‘JANE SMITH ♣️-RH’)

CAN I REGISTER FOR A GROUP LESSON THAT ISN'T MY SPICY LEVEL IF IT'S BETTER FOR MY SCHEDULE?

It depends. All our programs are designed to provide skill-appropriate experiences to help you build your confidence. If you want to drop down a level to attend with a friend, or take a class that better suits your schedule that’s cool. But if you’re trying to jump ahead, we ask that you wait and grab a spot in the next season. We ask golfers looking to skip ahead to wait until the following season for a spot in the class that better aligns with their current skill level.

WHAT IS YOUR REFUND OR CANCELLATION POLICY?

LESSONS:

Golf & Tacos secures space for programming with partner golf courses and instructors in advance, and as such is obligated to honour the full class bookings we’ve made. If there’s a waitlist and we can fill your spot, we’ll certainly do our best. Golf & Tacos do not offer refunds for individually missed dates or cancelled programs. Please review all dates in the event page and ensure you can attend prior to booking. We make our best effort to offer a make-up lesson at the end of the season for those participants who missed a lesson due to a medical or emergency reason and made an effort to let us know in advance. It is up to the participant to make the make-up date work. We will accept transfers BEFORE the start of your program. No transfers during multi-week programs will be accepted once the program starts.

COMMUNI-TEE TIMES:

Golfers that no show will be billed for the cost of your tee time. Late Cancellations within 72 hours of the tee time or class may be billed for the full cost of the tee time or class  if no one fills the spot from the waitlist.

ARE THERE ALWAYS TACOS?

Quick answer, no.

Long answer, CORE PROGRAMS will come with a gift card to eat at the restaurant of the golf course where your program is hosted, however, part of our goals are to make learning to golf more affordable so we do not include it in Skills & Drills Classes or Communi-Tee Times, It will be part of the Socials. But don’t let that stop you! For those looking to chow down with your pals every time, you are welcome to head to the restaurant or patio of the golf facility or support a local restaurant before/after your lesson with your group.  Your ambassador can help you coordinate at the first session!

CAN I SIGN-UP WITH A FRIEND?

We love when friends attend together, however, you’ll have to both create an account, accept the waiver, and register for classes through your own individual accounts.
