Hello EDMONTON

OUR 2024 SEASON

WELCOME

 WELCOME BACK

Last season we were stoked to launch our new digital community, GOLF & TACOS Social Club, which provides likeminded golf gals across Canada with a place to meet other golfers at their level in their area. No more feeling intimidated or sitting out because you don’t have someone to golf with. Network, make a friend, find a fourth, or a driving range meet-up. You might just meet your next BFF, coworker, business partner, or in-law! Origin stories of all types have come out of Golf & Tacos events and programs and now we’re making those game-changing connections possible from your phone.

We’ve tightened our program but in select markets (like Edmonton!)
we will be maintaining a small physical presence and have partnered with golf facilities and golf professionals who will be running programs throughout the season. Operationally, each facility is an independent partner that will offer similar packages bookable on Showpass (facility links provided below). This shift means our partner facilities have the opportunity to integrate Golf & Tacos into their facility in ways that are more sustainable and seamless for all.

Please ensure you read the event or program description prior to booking as packages vary by facility based on the facility’s unique amenities and rates.

MEET YOUR

COACHES

CODY HANCOCK

Sturgeon Valley GC

Born and raised in St. Albert, Cody attended MacEwan University where he played on the Griffins golf team for three seasons. After graduating from the Professional Golf Management program, he joined the PGA of Canada in 2013 and achieved his Class A status in 2017. Cody spent seven years at Cardiff Golf Club before joining the team at Sturgeon Valley Golf Club in 2018 where he is their Teaching Professional and Ladies Academy Director.

When he’s not coaching, Cody can be found in the mountains, playing disc golf, or at his favourite taco spot, Cerdo.

CODY YAREMOVICH

Eagle Rock GC

Cody is a PGA of Canada “Class A” Professional, who is the Head Teaching & Associate Golf Professional at Eagle Rock Golf Course.

Cody grew up in Edmonton, where he took lessons from PGA of Canada Master Professional, Bill McDougall, who would end up mentoring Cody in his early years as a golf professional.

With over 6 years of experience, Cody has spent countless hours educating himself to better his coaching skills to provide the best possible information to his students. His approach to instruction is honest and straightforward.

Golf is hard and improving takes a lot of hard work and dedication. This is something Cody understands, and will be there every step of the way to guide his students their journey.

In his downtime, Cody enjoys traveling to tropical destinations (especially Australia), where he can kick back, catch some waves and enjoy the rays! His favourite tacos are shrimp tacos, with his favourite spot in Edmonton being Malt & Morter for the Tuesday Taco special!

VOLUNTEER AMBASSADORS
We created the Volunteer Ambassador role early in Golf & Tacos when Co-Founders, Caitlin and Birkley, would go to lessons to welcome the golfers, make them feel at ease, break the ice, and help make introductions. It’s such an intimidating experience for many of these women to sign-up for and often have had nervous or fears for a long time about it! We want to make sure there is a smiling face that totally understands what they are going through and can make them feel comfortable. We also want to provide them with a female presence in their golf experience. Our Ambassadors are there to share their RELATABLE experiences and be those big sisters that these new golfers could connect with and facilitate that hype girl energy!

That means you’re down bring plenty of cheers, hell ya’s, and lots of love to the lessons and events!

SOCIAL COMMITTEE

We’re also looking to bring on enthusiastic community-builders who love bringing people together! Part of what makes Golf & Tacos so special are the incredible bonds that are formed when golfers come together for a killer night of golf, bevies and of course–tacos. If you’d like to work with our local coaching team to bring a couple of turn-key on-course social events to life this season, let us know!

If you’re interested in helping out at either of our locations as a Volunteer Ambassador, or helping to plan socials and meet-ups on our Social Committee, please reach out to Cody Y at [email protected] &/or Cody H at [email protected] to learn more.
